So I was out with my mom looking at stuff for the apartment Caitlin and I will be living in next year and I realized I know absolutely nothing about pots. We went down the cooking aisle and there were shiny pots, pretty pots, ugly pots, heavy pots, and black pots. Someone want to decipher the boxes for me? I have no idea what they are talking about. For example, I found some that I liked because they were a decent price. They were about $70 for a 10-piece set and they are nonstick. So, sounds good right? No, because then they went and made it difficult. Right above these pretty, black, nonstick pots are pretty, red, premium nonstick pots (same brand) for $10 less. Now what the hell does that mean? What is the difference between premium nonstick pots and just plain nonstick pots? The only difference I see is that one is red and the other is black, and since when does premium mean less money? To me this means that the premium isn’t so premium after all. Think about it: you go to a gas station and the regular unleaded is $2.70 and the premium is $2.90. So naturally these pots and their prices make no sense whatsoever to me. Now for the really good question: who thought of making a pan super easy to clean up but then stuck you with the rule “no metal cooking utensils”? I guess it is true; you can’t have your cake and eat it too (no intentional rhyming there. Caitlin hates when people rhyme.)

Check to see if they are dishwasher safe. My motto is the more expensive the more inconvenient to clean.
